NOTD: Purple Stripes Water Marble + Tutorial

So far I think this is the only time I've done a striped marble vertically on my nails - I think I ought to give it a try again.  For this I used Zoya Harmoniefor my base color, and then marbling is done with Harmonie & Zoya Sloane(which is from the Pulse Collection):

Here are my favorite nails:

And here's the tutorial:

I didn't get as much done last weekend as I'd hoped.  Maybe if I set a low bar this weekend, I can exceed my expectations for once LOL?

Thanks for reading.

  11. How stunning! Please can you advise me - what brands of polish have you found work best for water marbling?

  12. the polish must be not too thick and the brush must allow to make generous drops, but I guess the specialist could add some more valuable hints herself ;)

anyway, I love this blog and the marbled nails presented here, you're the best :)

  13. I Really LOVE ALL you tutorials!! The first time I every saw this method it was one of your youtube videos.... And now I'm addicted to polishes and I'm doing my best to learn even though is kinda hard for me cuz most of the time the polishes won't spread and de designs just wont come out as I want.
But thanks for the time you spend doing the tutorials for ALL of us.

  17. Hello Colette!
It's the first time I write a comment on your blog, and I'd like to thank you to share all your amazing tutorials. What you make with your nails is really gorgeous!
I wanted to ask you a question: have you ever tried to use a very greasy balm on your fingers skin instead of tape? I do this and think it's very very easier and faster.
Well, please don't pay attention to my faults, I write you from France!
I wish you a great week end, and please continue to enjoy me with your art!
